Please don’t tell me I’m the only person still trying to rack my brain around old Bo’Jos “speech” last night…
Anyway!
I thought I would give you guys a little peep at the brands and products both Oaks and I are absolutely loving right now! These are a mix of baby and mama bits! So, lets go!

If you follow me on the ‘Gram, you will know that I have been raging about the brand,The Ordinary… If you use their products then you will know why! IT IS AMAZING! As I’m sure, like most of you I have tried all the creams and brand under the sun, I tend to suffer with super dry skin, mostly in the winter and when it’s super hot. I’d seen a few people rave about it, saying how good it was, blah blah blah… and I just thought yeah yeah, same old crap. No.
I obviously caved and ended up purchasing a few of their oils and moisturiser, not that I had any idea what any of them did or how they worked… They all had super scary names, which made me think eh, maybe these might actually work!
So, lets start with their moisturiser.. I have never been more in love with a cream in my life. Like most things you need to use it a couple times before you actually notice it doing anything, I won’t use anything else from now on. It’s like a little tube of love. it’s not heavy like some creams, it’s so light and absorbs super fast!
The next purchase I went for was the Hyaluronic Acid 2%. Now, I’m not going to lie, I’m not 100% sure what this does. I do know it’s a hydrator and it’s found naturally in your skin. I mean, whatever it does, I love it! I use both the moisturiser and HA when I wake up and when I go to bed, along with Nivea MicellAir Professional Micellar water to remove my make up and cleanse. This product too, is so good! It doesn’t leave a horrible sticky residue on your skin like some and it’s super kind to your skin. I literally just soak a reusable make up wipe and get to work!

Snacks, snacks and more snacks… Oakley is absolutely snack mad! He is definitely more of a grazer when it comes to eating and would rather eat little and often than sit down and eat a full on meal in one go. So with that being said, we like to try and give him things that are balanced and nutritious. There are so many brands that we have used, Ellas Kitchen is one of our favourites, but recently we have been enjoying the brand Organix. Oakley absolutely loves their mini flapjack bars and carrot sticks are a huge win! I think he gets his love for snacking from his Mother…

Back in January I joined up at Slimming World to try and shift some of that Christmas timber… 2 months later Lockdown happened… And it all went out the window. The last couple weeks it has been really getting to me that all the hard work and effort I made to lose 0.5 stone has been for nothing. So, I printed myself out a meal plan and today was the first day of easing myself back into the mindset of eating healthier again… Snacking is one thing I really struggled with, I love to pick at food during the day and evening… Okay all day.. Something I missed massively was CHOCOLATE, So when I heard about these little gems I needed to get my hands on them. They’re super satisfying and curb the sweet craving like you wouldn’t believe! As well as the 3 flavours pictured, they all do mint one… Which I am absolutely dying to try. Mint is the best flavour for everything.
They are little chocolate coated nougat bars and they’re heavenly, I’m not really sure how else to describe them… They goooooooooooood.

As some of you may have seen I was kindly gifted some lovely Eco and Vegan friendly laundry products by a company called EcoEgg.
I have been using their products for just over a week now and I am absolutely in love! For a while now I have been making more conscious decisions to do better when it comes to the environment. Cutting dow on single use plastics and making more efforts with road side recycling have been the biggest changes we have made.
The Eco Egg has been an absolute game changer when it comes to the way I do my laundry. It basically takes away the need for any harsh chemicals, conditioners and softeners to be used in the wash, which means they are perfect for delicate and sensitive skin! This is super important and something I look for when buying products that will come into contact with Oaks and his skin.
“But surely they don’t last as long?” I hear you ask.. WRONG, up to 70 washes these little eggs last before you need to change the pellets. That could be double the washes your normal softener does! Which, not only helps the environment, but also your wallet too!
Another Eco Friendly brand I have recently fallen in love with is Ecover… I actually purchased their laundry products before I was sent the Eco Egg, so I will more than likely use the fabric softener before then moving on to use the Eco Egg from then on. I switched out Toilet cleaner and washing up liquid. I’m yet to use the loo cleaner, but the washing up liquid is amazing! It smells so fresh and un-artificial like the leading brand. I love it! These products are also Vegan friendly and kind to skin, (all except the loo cleaner… Obviously!) Having a washing up liquid that isn’t going to dry my hands out is amazing, especially during the current situation where washing our hands a lot is important!
I am constantly on the look out for more way in which I can make changes to our every day lives to help the environment! If you know of any small businesses or products that are Eco Friendly then please feel free to share!
